The Arizona Brewing Company, founded in 1933 by two brothers, Martin and Herman Fenster. The company which was located in downtown Phoenix, operated as Arizona's only brewery for 50 plus years. A-1 Pilsner was their top selling brand in the 1940s and 1950s. The Arizona Brewing Company was sold in 1964 to the Carling Brewing Company. They would eventually close in 1985.
