Before Alpha Beta was a grocery store, it was the name of a marketing concept used in grocery stores founded by Albert and Hugh Gerrard. It referred to organizing the groceries in the store in alphabetical order. The first Alpha Beta store was opened in 1917, and existed under this brand until 1995. In 1984, all 34 stores in Arizona were sold to ABCO Foods. By 1995, Alpha Beta stores had all been purchased by other grocery chains and the name was no longer in use.
50% polyester, 25% combed ring-spun cotton, 25% rayon, preshrunk, 3.4 oz., for that super soft vintage feel. These unisex cut shirts are considered regular fit to give that classic vintage look. If you are unsure of your size we recommend going up one size.
