Garden of Allah Hotel

The Garden of Allah was a famous hotel in West Hollywood, California, located at 8152 Sunset Boulevard at the east end of the Sunset Strip. Originally an estate called Hayvenhurst, built in 1913, was sold in 1926 and later reopened as the "Garden of Alla Hotel" in 1927. In April of 1959, Bart Lytton, president of Lytton Savings and Loan, purchased the Garden of Allah Hotel for $755,000. By the end of 1959, all traces of the hotel were gone, making way for the new main branch of Lytton Savings and Loan.
