Opened in 1899, Idora Park was a northeastern Ohio amusement park popularly known as "Youngstown's Million Dollar Playground." Built by the Youngstown Park and Falls Street Railway Company. In April 1984 a devasting fire detroyed the premier roller coaster. The damage was estimated to be in the millions. The park would welcome its last visitors in September of 1984.
