Jack Dempsey's Restaurant opened in 1935 and was owned by world heavyweight boxing champion Jack Dempsey. It was located in Manhattan, New York City. It was considered by many to be an American institution. A favorite attraction of the restaurant was its famous cheesecake. The restaurant closed in 1974.
