Celebrate Phoenix’s beloved Karsh’s Bakery, serving the Valley from the 1960s—originally on Central Avenue before moving to 7th Street in 1985—until its heartfelt closing on March 26, 2014. A kosher bakery famous for rye, challah, and black-and-white cookies, Karsh’s closed amid rising competition from grocery store bakeries and shifting demand for artisanal goods.
