Minder Binders

For decades, Minder Binders red barnlike building was the hotspot for people looking for cheap drinks, good burgers, and something to do near Arizona State University in the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Minder Binders opened in 1969 when Al Ehringer and Bob Scura, two pilots who loved drinking and hanging out with friends, decided that they wanted to open a bar. They were determined to create a destination for the local ASU college crowd. The restaurant was named after the main character in one of the owner’s favorite book-to-movie, "Catch 22." After decades of serving college students, Minder Binders closed in 2005.
