The famous Monti's Steakhouse Restaurant opened in 1956 and was located in the historic Hayden House in Tempe on Mill Ave. The restaurant, which was comprised of 14 different dining rooms, is known for serving steaks, ribs, and chops, as well as its signature Roman bread. Monti's closed in 2014. The historic Hayden House was placed on the National Register of Historic Places and will be preserved.
