O'Neil's, founded in 1877 was a department store chain based in Akron, Ohio. Owned by May Department Stores, O'Neil's was merged with May's Cleveland division, May Company Ohio in 1989, then merged into Kaufmann's, in 1993. In 2005 May Department Stores was purchased by Federated Department Stores. In 2006, all chains would become Macy's.
