Phar-Mor Drug Stores

Phar-Mor was a chain of discount drug stores, based in Youngstown, Ohio, in 1982. Phar-Mor's business was based on selling a large quantity of merchandise with a very small profit margin. They were known for their advertising slogans such as "Phar-Mor power buying gives you Phar-Mor buying power" and "Phar-Mor For Less." Another common slogan for TV was "Power buying saves: Save at Phar-Mor." In 2002, the Phar-Mor assets were purchased by Giant Eagle and the remaining Youngstown stores would be sold to Marc's, another discount grocery drugstore chain.
