Richfield Coliseum, also known as the Coliseum at Richfield, was an indoor arena between Cleveland and Akron, Ohio. Opened in 1974, Richfield Coliseum was the replacement for the Cleveland Arena. The arena was home to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Cleveland Crusaders, the Cleveland Barons, Cleveland Force, Cleveland Crunch, the Cleveland Lumberjacks, and the Cleveland Thunderbolts. The Coliseum was where Larry Bird's final NBA game was played. In 1994, the arena would be replaced by Gund Arena located in downtown Cleveland. After sitting vacant for five years, it was purchased by the National Park Service and would be demolished in 1999.
