The Southern California Sun were a professional American football team that played in the World Football League (WFL) in 1974 and 1975. Recognized and drawing attention for their magenta and orange uniforms, the Sun played its home games at Anaheim Stadium. The Sun won their division title in 1974, before losing in the playoffs to the Hawaiians. When the league folded mid-season in 1975, the Sun were leading the West.
