The Original Cookie Company had 24 stores in 1977 when it was purchased by Cookie Place of Youngstown, Ohio. In just under 5 years they opened over 90 new stores. By 1996 the company would be rolled into Mrs. Fields Original Cookie Co. By the early 2000's, The Original Cookie Company would no longer exist.
