Venture Stores was a chain of discount department-stores founded in 1968 and headquartered in O'Fallon, Missouri. Venture Stores expanded to over 70 stores throughout the United States, becoming the largest discount chain in Chicago. Venture went bankrupt and closed all stores in 1998.
